Sweet 16

She turned 16... two days ago .16 years of pain and counting , that was on Feb.24.2009, what she wanted to do was to invite her friends for a dance party, what we used to call a "Boom" back in the good ol days. But since Parrain or God father was visiting from Paris and since we had already planned a family gathering, followed by supper the weekend prior, we opted for a brunch the next day at "le Montrealais" followed by what was supposed to be a shopping spree underground with her friends.
This is where the hammer hit, all her friends who were supposed to show up that day for the brunch cancelled on her the day before, they came up with lame excuses , such as my mother was sick or my dog died.
The good side of the story is ... we ended up spending less for the brunch, I assumed she learned who her real friends are and we nevertherless burnt the rest of the brunch budget on the spending spree that did take place afterall, with Pinpin and myself.

The other good side of the story was that the food was excellent, we spent a memorable time with Parrain, Marraine and spouses of the before mentioned and the kids.
Oh about the years of pain, don't take it too seriously...it's just my way of saying that she is still the cherry of my eye..is it how you say it?
